If your child will be absent, please call 651-621-7001 to leave a message on the 24-hour attendance voicemail line or enter it in ParentVue. If we do not hear from you by 10:00 a.m. on the day of the student absence, we will call your home or work number to verify your student’s absence.
Daily attendance is an important factor for student achievement. Parents and school officials have the duty (according to MN Statute 127.20 and 127.19, compulsory attendance law) to see to it that a child attends school. Under Minnesota State Law, a student who has three or more days of unexcused absences or a pattern of tardiness is considered truant.
Students should be absent from school only in case of illness or emergency. If your family must be gone for a period of five or more days, you will need to fill out a Parent Request for School Release Time and turn in to the principal for approval.
Tardy student check in
Tardy students need to be checked in by a parent/guardian in the office upon arrival so they will not be recorded as absent.
